Withdrawal and refund deadline dates only apply to standard courses of fifteen weeks in duration, starting on the first calendar week of the semester.

Wed, Dec 14, 2022Applications open to apply for Douglas College Bursaries, Awards and Scholarships for Winter Semester.
Mon, Jan 2 and Tue, Jan 3In lieu of New Year’s Eve & New Year’s Day – College closed.
Wed, Jan 4First day of classes.
Tues, Jan 10Last day to drop a course and receive 100% refund.
Wed, Jan 11 – Tues, Jan 17Late Registration. Refunds for course drops during this period is 50% per credit.
Fri, Jan 13Deadline to apply for transfer credit to ensure credit has been recorded to meet course prerequsite requirements for Summer semester registration.

Last day to change from credit to audit status in a course.

Mon, Jan 16Graduation applications open for Summer graduation ceremonies (June).
Deadline to apply for Douglas College Bursaries, Awards and Scholarships for Winter Semester.
Tue, Jan 17Last day to drop a course without receiving a “W” on record (subsequent withdrawals receive a notation of “W”).
Last day to add a course.
Wed, Jan 18Fee payment deadline for courses added between December 16 to Jan 17. Students paying after this date will incur late payment penalties of $25 per registered course. Students will NOT be deregistered from courses after this deadline.
Mon, Jan 30Deadline for submission of applications from international students (including all documentation) for the Summer semester.
Fri, Feb 17Outstanding fees for the Winter semester must be paid in full to avoid an additional late payment penalty of $100.
Mon, Feb 20BC Family Day – College closed.
Tue, Feb 21 to Fri, Feb 24Study break – classes cancelled.

Mon, Feb 27 to Sat, Mar 4Mid-semester: students may obtain mid-semester standing from instructors during this week in order to make decisions about dropping courses by the course withdrawal deadline of March 6.

Thu, Mar 16Deadline to apply for full-time, part-time funding and Adult Upgrading Grant funding for the Winter Semester.

Fri, Apr 21The registration system will reopen at 9:00 am on Friday, April 21 for ALL students. Waitlist offers will be available at 9:00 am April 22 and will expire if not accepted by 11:59 pm Sunday, April 23.
Mon, May 1Deadline for new first-semester international students to withdraw from the Summer 2023 semester and receive 50% refund or defer admission to the Fall 2023 semester.
